Yay!
Wow. We—the people—have spoken!
What amazing results up and down the ballot here in Maryland and all around the country.
For me, this election validates years of organizing work done by folks at every level of the political spectrum—but especially at the grassroots level. To the people who wrote postcards, phonebanked, knocked doors, marched in the streets, had important conversations with friends and family about the direction our country is heading and what issues truly matter: THANK YOU!

I have been organizing canvassing groups of volunteers to go to Pennsylvania for the past several election cycles. Here’s the group that knocked on doors last Saturday with CASA in Action for Janelle Stelson. She won and flipped the district from red to blue!
Now it is time to make real the hopes and dreams of voters: lower the cost of living, take action to care for the environment, and protect people’s rights and human dignity.
I am grateful to have been re-elected and look forward to serving another four years in the House of Delegates advancing exactly those policies.
Data Privacy
Speaking of issues that matter. . . Last year I passed legislation to help protect people’s data privacy. As big tech gains access to more and more of our data, protecting our privacy will always be important. With an authoritarian government accessing that data and using it to terrorize our communities, protecting our data is more important than ever. Listen to this 30-minute podcast where I talk with Ninfa Amador of We Are CASA and Ever Hanna of Trans Maryland to explain what we have accomplished and what more we can do.
